Lying
in six hectares of Rashtrapati Bhavan complex,
the famous Mughal Gardens were designed
by Sir Edwin Lutyens for Lady Harding. These
gardens combine the Mughal style formal
garden with the British drawings. Mughal
Gardens Mughal Delhi sports channels, multi-level
terraces and along flowering shrubs with
flower beds, lawns and privet hedges. WR
Mustoe can be credited with planting shrubs,
plants and trees in the garden.
Together, the two brains
transformed into an oasis of 1929. The Gardens
composed of three parts - the rectangular
garden immediately behind the main building
along the Garden and the Circular Garden.
A virtual paradise, it has four rivers,
fountains unique to the intersection which
consists of 3 levels discs enormous red
sandstone resembling lotus leaves. Plots
of lawn and flowers chequered provide wonderfully
enchanting look at this landscape garden.
In the long Garden, there
is a splendid Pergola on bougainvillea vines
are cultivated. The bed of roses and trimmed
coverage Ingadulets on its sides look like
knots of color on a wide carpet. The segmentation,
levels of flowers around the pool in the
garden circular are the best place to see
the butterflies. Thus, it is also known
as the Pearl Garden or the butterfly garden.
The variety of flowers available here includes
Rose, Viscaria, Teptosyne, Sweet William,
Oxalis, Marigold and bougainvillea and several
other annuals and perennials.
It has more than 250 varieties
are grown in one place, including Benkinsian
seems to be the mother of all strains, 60
types of Bougainvillea, the best and largest
collection of Indian flowers sake of dahlias
and 13 different colors - some even more
like peppermint. In addition, there are
Moulsari trees, chosen by Lutyens because
of their Indian origin. The Bonsai collection
is undoubtedly one of the best in the country.
One can only visit the gardens during the
months of February to March, except on Monday
