The
war memorial arch, India Gate, was built
by the British in honour of the unknown
martyrs who lost their lives during the
First World War and the War in Afghanistan.
Vijay Chowk (Place de la Victoire) is the
site "Beating the Retreat 'ceremony
held annually in New Delhi, January 29.
The origin known as the All India War Memorial,
he names soldiers who died in wars inscribed
on its walls. Since 1971, he is the eternal
soldier 's flame under it, known as 'Amar
Jawan Jyoti '.
It is said that Edwin Lutyens
and Herbert Baker designed India Gate and
its environs. India Gate is located on Rajpath

As we are going along Rajpath,
through Raisina Hill - the administrative
center of India, we find the two buildings
secretarial - North Block and South Block
on its two sides. You can also see Sansad
Marg and Parliament and the section of the
road width. North Block houses the offices
of Finance and Home ministries, while South
Block houses External Affairs and Defence
ministries. Other than this, Rajpath is
surrounded by many official buildings and
museums. It is Indira Gandhi National Arts
Centre and National Museum, famous for its
archaeological collections.
