India that appear to be infused with the
Holy Spirit, Haridwar is located at the
foot of the Himalayas. It is lying on the
west bank of the Ganges, in a dip which

University Gurukul Kangri
Gurukul Kangri University of Haridwar is

Mansa Devi temple
Mansa Devi temple, dedicated to Mansa Devi
- an incarnation of the goddess Durga, is
located on the top of the hill Bilwa. To
reach the temple, you are either walking
distance or take the gondola cableway.
Pawan Dham temple
Pawan Dham Temple is about 2 km from downtown.
The temple dates back to ancient times and
is decorated with beautiful stained glass
on its walls and heavily decorated idols.
Maya Devi temple
Maya Devi temple is dedicated to the goddess,
as an incarnation of Shakti or power. Comptés
among Shaktipeeths of India, the temple
is supposed to be the place where the heart
and the navel of Sati (wife of Lord Shiva)
fell.
Vaishno Devi temple
Vaishno Devi is one of the temples built
recently in Haridwar. The main attraction
of the temple arose because it was built
exactly the same manner as the Vaishno Devi
temple in Jammu.
Bharat Mata temple
Bharat Mata Temple is typical unlike the
Hindu temples. An eight-storey structure,
he spent each story to a particular group
of people who have influenced the country
in a certain way. For example, one floor
is dedicated to spiritual leaders, another

Har Ki Paudi
Har ki Paudi is the greatest fear throughout
Haridwar. It is a bathing Ghat, regarded
as equivalent to the reverence Dashashwamedh
Ghat in Varanasi. Har ki Paudi, meaning
stages (Paudi) of Vishnu (Har), is said
to be visited by Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva
in the era epic. It is also said that Lord
Brahma performed a yagna here.
