Chattarpur
Mandir is located just 4 km from Qutub Minar,
located in the area of Mehrauli New Delhi.
The spectacular temple complex is an architectural
gem in itself. All shrines in the compound
which is made of white marble. Relatively
recent in its construction, it competes
with the splendour of the Mughal architecture
of the city. The followers of every corner
of Delhi came to pay their tribute to the
deities of the temple. The main shrine is
dedicated to the goddess Durga and exhibits
traits of the temple architecture in South
India.
The Durga Puja, one can
see endless queues of faithful waiting patiently
for their turn to ask the blessing of the
goddess. According to popular belief, tying
a thread on the tree in the complex Chattarpur
Mandir completes a 's wishes. The prayers
and sermons are conducted in the temple
24 hours a day. Anyone can participate in
these spiritual meetings at any time. The
beauty of the complex is highlighted by
the lush green gardens of the region. There
are also a number of temples in the complex,
dedicated to different Gods and Goddesses,
as Vishnu, Ganesh, Shiva and Lakshmi.
